Lighthouse Christian Academy began as a nursery school in 1976 as a ministry of Pleasant View Baptist Church. With an enrollment of ten children and two staff members, Today Lighthouse Christian Academy has become a full Pre-K through 12th grade Christian College Prepatory School with a strong focus on biblical truth and excellence in academic achievement.

Custom Logo Design

Under the new leadership of Administrator Pastor Josh M. Phillips, LCA has begun a process of growth and renewal and a new logo was needed to project a positive and fresh image for the school.

Content Management System

All MDI websites are designed in one way or another to allow the end user to customize, add, change and delete content from their own website.  This feature was especially important to LCA because the staff needed to have the ability post latest news items, such as school closing, on the home page and the faculty also had a desire to list homework assignments for the students online.

Calendar of Events

All the organizations activities are centrally managed and made available for the public to see on their website through an intuitive calendar system.  Members can submit calendar entries and, once approved by the administrator, they'll be posted for viewing.  This "collaboration" reduces time spent on trying to keep the calendar up to date.

E-Newsletter

Communication is key to the success of Lighthouse students and parents play a signifigant part in Christian education.  MDI designed and implimented an e-mail newsletter system that makes contacting parents quick, easy and affordable.  Now LCA can reach out to hundreds of parents with a simple point and click and the message is always delivered in a consistent, branded, professional format.

Flash Rotator

The homepage of the LCA website needed a bit of pizzaz to spark student interest.  Kids love being a part of things, especially things that are 'cool' and a sharp looking home page needs a certain element of flash to pull off that look.  The module is used to rotate through information about programs offered at LCA and saves valuable home-page realestate for the most important messages and promotions.
